PLYMOUTH
ALBION SUPPORTERS CLUB

There
was an informal meeting of the Supporters of Plymouth Albion RFC, on Sunday 8th
January 2012. It was attended by
Supporters of Plymouth Albion, Dr Graham Stirling CBE and Oliver Colvile MP (VP
of Plymouth Albion and Long time supporter). In total there were 50 supporters
present.
It was agreed that I temporarily chair the meeting so that a supporters
meeting to take place.
The meeting voted a unanimous YES
to the 12 following questions :
- Do
you want to form a supporters club?
- I
propose the name PLYMOUTH ALBION SUPPORTERS CLUB, do you agree?
- I
am putting myself forwards as Temporary Chair of the club until the end of
this season, or until a formal meeting of the club takes place, do you
accept
- I
propose that Rob, Anne & myself will form the temporary committee for
that time, do you agree?
- What
happens next? Next season we
could be in the championship we could be in division 1 – until we know
this we cannot say that we may not be in the same situation next year.
Can we agree that at this time we focus on the survival of Plymouth
Albion for this season
- I
propose that membership will cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16’s,
you accept?
- I
propose that this seasons membership fee will be donated to Plymouth Albion
in return for a sponsorship deal until 2013 subject to certain conditions,
do you accept?
- I
propose that any donations additional to this membership fee, for this
season, will be donated to Plymouth Albion, subject to certain conditions,
do you accept?
- There
are plans for fundraising events, such as quiz nights, seasonal draws etc.
I propose to use such events to raise funds for Plymouth Albion
Supporters Club, do you accept?
- I
propose that money raised tonight, and for the foreseeable future, will be
temporarily held in the supporters travel club account, which is independent
from Plymouth Albion RFC Limited – do you agree to allow the Supporters
Travel club to hold these funds on our clubs behalf?
- If
the Board does not raise the funds to secure Plymouth Albion to the end of
this season, I propose that money raised will be used to form a trust and/or
a hardship fund, do you agree?
- I
propose that our next informal meeting will be held in the supporter’s
marquee after the
Leeds
game; do you accept the date of this next meeting?
The result of this is there is now a supporters club at
Plymouth Albion
